What is the pets library?
The pets library is your personal collection of every custom pet you have created. Each entry is a small folder with art and metadata.
Think of it as a shelf of companions you can swap in and out of Codex.
How pets are organized
Every pet lives in its own folder under the pets directory. The folder name is the pet name Codex shows.
Keeping one folder per pet makes switching and sharing clean.
Saving a pet
When you download a finished pet, keep the ZIP or the extracted folder. That is your saved copy.
Switching between pets
To change the active pet, point Codex at a different folder. Restart the app and the new companion appears.
Managing a growing library
Name folders clearly. A library of ten pets is easy to navigate only if each name means something.
Periodically remove pets you no longer use to keep the list short.
Sharing from your library
Send a friend the pet folder or ZIP. They paste it into their own pets directory and restart.
