First: don't delete it yet. Regenerating is easy, but doing it right saves you generations and gets you closer to the pixel companion you want.

Signs You Should Regenerate

The pose is wrong (your pet was standing, the pet is sitting)

Key features are missing (your cat's distinctive marking didn't carry over)

The resolution looks blurry or pixelated in the wrong places

The animation states look distorted

Go back to the upload page — don't start from scratch

Keep your photo if it was good; only regenerate if the photo itself is the problem
